Another great weekend at Oulton Park InternationalPosted on: July 2nd 2018 • Posted in: General News
The weather was hot and the racing hotter at this weekend’s double header at Oulton Park. With temperatures reaching 27°, it was a hot one in Cheshire.
Having qualified fastest with a time of 1:41.373, over one second quicker than his nearest rival, Tom Stoten started the first race of the day on pole. He was joined on the front row by David Houghton, one of 11 MCRs in the top 14.
Race one finished how it started with Houghton chasing down Stoten, despite the former topping the fastest lap charts. Joshua Low completed the top 3.
In the second race of the day, Stoten was again dominant, pulling out an 11.769-second gap to Houghton in second place. They were joined on the podium by Michael Gibbins, who came from the back of the grid to finish a more than respectable third.
